a) Handling Fee
The handling fee is applied by MD Courier for two (2) types of item(s):
The handling fees are applied to cover expenses not related to the product or shipping, such as storage, transportation, time and resources that would have been used to facilitate the clearance of the item(s). With this being said, we urge you to upload your invoice(s) as soon as you are provided a tracking number by your supplier or as soon as the item is delivered to the overseas warehouse.
b) Processing Fee
The processing fee helps us cover risks associated with chargebacks or providing this service in general such as administrative cost for processing the shipment(s). This fee is applied to packages detained or held by customs pending valuation, packages 10lbs and more. This fee varies depending on the value and quantity of your shipment(s).
c) Additional Fees
The additional fees are used for fees charged by external stakeholders such as rehandling or storage fees that your item(s) may attract if held or detained by customs, for example, at the Kingston Logistics Center (KLC) or Caribbean Airlines Limited and other ports.
